Job Description:
• Perform clinical laboratory assays; Lymphocyte Immunophenotyping, Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Serology, Molecular and Urinalysis; supporting the departmental research and clinical studies at a level adequate to maintain international laboratory accreditation.
• Support data management and documentation for laboratory records. Maintain quality assurance/quality control data supporting for the above assays. Provide laboratory reagent inventory for the Laboratory and ensure that the reagents used within the laboratory are within their expiration date. Ensure that reporting of assayed results are in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain and ensure all laboratory equipment/devices are working properly and contact AFRIMS Maintenance personnel for fixing when the equipment/devices are malfunction.
• Conduct all duties and tasks in accordance with all applicable Laboratory Quality. Comply with all applicable Occupational Health and Safety Instructions. Other tasks and duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Male / female, not more than 28 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Good command of English (speaking, reading and writing).
• Well organized with planning capabilities.
• Able to work flexible hours.
