Chenda Polyclinic, a standard and private clinic in Phnom Penh, is looking to hire personnel for the following positions. The incumbent will be an employee of Chenda Polyclinic and assigned to work at the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit No. 2 (NAMRU2), located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
1. Laboratory Supervisor (Molecular Biology)Key Responsibilities:• Provides laboratory training to all locally hired laboratory technicians to include mentoring staff in the application of scientific research and leading formal teaching sessions;
• Directly supervises laboratory bench work in direct support of NAMRU2 Medical Research and clinical projects;
• Be the subject matter expert for the Molecular Biology section at NAMRU2 to include investigation of new technology and protocols to expand testing capability, trouble-shoot problems in current protocols, and discuss theoretical application of technology with NAMRU2 senior staff; and
• Provide leadership in areas such as quality improvement, quality control, and quality assurance.
Job Requirements:
• BSC in Medical Technology or equivalent four years degree at a university
• At least five years experience in clinical or molecular biology laboratory and three years of supervisory experience in a laboratory
• Computer literate in MS Office Suite and Access
• English level III proficiency in reading, writing and speaking
